Because your pet deserves the very best!

Hey There!
Hi! My name is Chelsey, and I'm the founder of Paws and Prana.
I am certified in Animal Naturopathy, Canine Massage Therapy, and Animal Energy Healing through Reiki and Healing Touch For Animals.
To say I am passionate about animals is an understatement... I'm mildly obsessed :)
A life without animals is one I want no part of.
I currently have 3 cats, a flock of chickens, and a 12 year old Golden Retriever, KC, who has been my driving force behind what I do today (learn more about KC and her story down below).
I have been drawn to animals my whole life, and have always been a huge believer in natural healing modalities and the body's ability to heal itself.
In 2024, I finally decided to merge both of my passions into skills that can aid in the healing and wellbeing of animals naturally.
Through intentional, skilled touch, massage therapy and energy healing can have a profound impact on your pet, both physically and psychologically.
Ready to give bodywork and energetics a try for your furr baby?
Meet KC

Here's my beautiful "lemon" baby! We call her our lemon because she has had health issues from the get-go, starting with a heart murmur and dry, flakey skin as a puppy, to two completely torn CCLs (cranial cruciate ligament, equivalent to ACL in humans) before she was 1 year old.
Having undergone ligament repair surgery in both knees at such a young age, we could see the vitality draining from her as the years went on.
KC, like most Golden's, absolutely loves the water and chasing sticks. Her spirit is LIT UP when she has either of these. But her short bouts of fun and energy would always lead to days of pain, tenderness and lameness due to her overcompensation to protect her knees.
Her shoulders, upper back, and neck would take such a beating as she was always trying to shift her weight off of her compromised hind legs.
This meant early onset arthritis and full body pain the majority of her life.
The vets prescribed Meloxicam (an NSAID) to be used long-term for pain relief. Although this drug does help with pain, long-term use over years can carry some serious risks and side-effects, including possible damage to the gut, liver, and kidneys. It also doesn't address the cause of the pain.
Range of motion exercises and laser treatment at the vet helped, but only for short periods of time. Supplements like glucosamine and chondroitin also offered some relief, but not enough.
At the age of 11, KC was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure.
Fluid built up in her abdomen to the point where her gut looked like a balloon that was inflated to its max, about to pop at any second. Her breathing was labored, and her energy and vitality were completely zapped.
At this point, although we were preparing ourselves to say goodbye, I knew there was more that could be done to save her.
I dedicated myself to learning all I could about different healing modalities for KC, and became certified in Naturopathy, Canine Massage Therapy, and Energy Healing For Animals along the way.
Now, by putting these certifications to use on KC, in conjunction with traditional veterinary care, KC is thriving!
